Services
As a member of the Nueces County Sheriff's Officers Association, there are many services available to you both at the state and local level.
The Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas- CLEAT- is here to serve you, the member.
Collective Bargaining
NCSOA/CLEAT is the sole agent to bargain for the labor contract between officers and Nueces County.
A copy of the current contract will be posted in the index of the site.
We are currently negotiating a contract to take effect in the new fiscal year.
Some Member Benefits Of CLEAT/NCSOA Are:
*Critical Incident Coverage - An attorney will respond to represent you when deadly force is used or a prisoner dies in your custody. 24 Hour toll free critical incident hotline 1-800-752-5328
*Members pay no out of pocket cost, no retainers, no deductibles, and no maximums.
*All disciplinary action or demotion and promotion "passover" is covered
*Temporary Income Protection Plan (TIPP) at $100 a day up to five days per calendar year when a member chooses not to appeal disciplinary action.
